Last night
I bathed in moonlight.
Naked
I stood and let her white gaze wash over me.
I saw
all of her and she saw all of me.
The child
I carry under my heart.
My hands
forming the shape of a triangle over my navel.
Holding
the soul that chose me to be his mother.
Chose me
to walk a part of the way with it.
Deemed me
worthy of bearing it into a new life.
Deemed me
able to overcome any obstacles we might face together.
Deemed me
the one woman it will call mother.
Thank you universe.
